The Bridges Rental Assistance Program provides rental
assistance for people with very low incomes and a serious
mental illness while they wait for a Housing Choice Voucher or
another rental subsidy.

The Bridges housing subsidy is intended to fill the gap
between a person paying a large portion of their income
towards housing costs or having no place to live, and the point
when they receive a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher.

Bridges provide a temporary subsidy for participants in which
at least one adult member of the household has a serious
mental illness and whose household gross income is under
50% of the area median income.

The HRA of Mora administers the Bridges program in Chisago,
Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine counties.
